How big is each serving? For round cakes each slice is three layers of cake and two layers of buttercream/filling (~4”). Therefore, each serving is a standard event size measuring 1” x 2” x 4”. The serving size for a square cake is a standard event size measuring 1” x 2” x ½ the tier height. Therefore, the portion sizes of square cakes may vary in height.

Can I pick-up my cake order?Chicago roads are bumpy and traffic can be stressful. Due to the fragile and sensitive nature of cakes, we recommend that you allow us to deliver your cake. However, some cakes are able to be picked up and we will give you the option before signing your contract.

-
Should I refrigerate my wedding cake?Your cake will be refrigerated up until the time of delivery and/or pick-up. We suggest letting your cake sit out at room temperature before your wedding after we deliver so your cake can come to room temperature.
-
What are dummy cakes?Dummy cakes are fake tiers to supplement larger cake designs. For example, if you like the look of a 5-tiered cake but only need a small cutting cake, we would make four fake tiers and one real cake tier. All tiers are decorated in the exact same manner, so it is virtually impossible to tell which tiers are fake or real.
